Due to the lack of real good new songs - have been depending on the radio and happened to hear this song.. In my opinion it's a really nice and peppy song..

One should listen to this song when your feeling a little down and I think it would make you feel a lot better..

The lyrics of the song "Chak de" mean let go, let go of all your worries and things that are bothering you and think beyond because it's one lifetime - Live it up!

If anyone's wondering what's up with the Old songs - blame it on the Radio show Flashback.. I just remembered this song when I posted Kahin door from Anand last night and they played it today.. so it had to feature!

This song is one of my favorite "rain songs" and very well made. Very beautifully sung too.
The music at the beginning of the song is soothing to the ear.. and the flute later.

Raj Kapoor & Nargis were the best pair of their times.. some even wondered howcome they never got married - let's leave that aside though :)

Kehta hai dil rasta mushkil maloom nahi hai kahaan manzil - are the nice lines from the song..

A must add to your oldies' collection!

This is a very old song from a very old film which was a great film of it's time and had 2 superstars.. Supposed to be a sad film cause Rajesh Khanna suffers from cancer in the film.. haven't seen the film my self though.

Happened to hear this song on the Radio on a show called 'Flashback' on Radio One (94.3 FM) hosted by RJ Tarana who used to host a show in the morning with Jaggu.. but now that show's hosted by Jaggu & Sangram..

Flashback plays awesome old songs.. wonder if it's available in other cities in India..

Coming back to the song, it was also re-sung and released as a private album by Ghazal maestro Jagjit Singh..

I think the shortest description for this song is - Simply Outstanding!
Extremely well sung and with depth and if I were to say it in Hindi - Dil se gaya hai :)

It's got a very classical feel too with the tabla in the background music... and the part where it's just the violin - awesome!

Coming to the lyrics - I don't understand what Maula Mere means - would love to know.
From the rest of it - I like the lines ..

Aankhen teri kitni haseen.. ke inka aashiq main ban gaya hoon.. mujhko basa le inme tu..
Very typical lines.. but they do sound very nice!

I'm quite a movie buff.. but I actually missed this film - didn't really know about it's release, star cast, etc. but for the song - now I do - It has Nauheed Cyrusi, Hiten Tejwani (Karan of Kyunki), Manisha & brother- Siddharth Koirala..

Listening to this song is a MUST!

Tere Bina - Guru

Dum dararam dara mast mast.. O humdum bin tere kya jeena &
tere bina beswaadi, beswaadi... dono the lines further.. but think they are very soothing to the ear.

Great music and feel but this song takes me back to a song from the film Saathiya which had this song Mangalyam... O humdum suniyo re.. there is some resemblance..

Have we also noticed how many songs with Tere Bin(a)!! Let me list a few that I did manage to remember:

Doorie - Doorie

This is Atif's second album.. first one being Aadat which had Woh Lamhe (Zeher)

I think this song (Doorie) in particular has been sung with so much depth and feel.. his voice just expresses so well.. you can feel the hapiness or pain as is..

Love the guitar & drums which are there through the entire song-- sounds great!

Coming to the lyrics - I like the lines..
Khamoshiyan seh na sakoonga.. awaaz deke mujhe deja sakoon.. doorie sahi jaye naa..
Adhoora hoon main ab tere bina.. adhoori meri zindagani ab reh jayegi...

And yes.. the Aaa.. bit tops it all!

Salaam-e-Ishq is also an old film which stars Amitabh and Rekha (I think..) and how different..
Guess it's the time of re-makes and copying old film titles..

This one though, seems more like a song which would appear as the finale of the film - it has 6 couples!

One word for this song is FUN! However stupid it might sound for a song to be called "Signal" I still love it!

Remo's sung this song really well and what I like in the song is the part - Jump, Jump, Jump in the air... The music's also good.

Also, this song's been playing quite often and pretty much all over.. you should hear it if you haven't!

Sad thing being - I missed it when I went to catch this film in the theater! It's in the titles.. so if you are planning on going.. don't miss the beginning!
